Verify a file

"Verify a file" allows you to make sure that a file has been timestamped in the blockchain, and at the same time to obtain its timestamping date.

To verify a file, you must have the file itself and possibly the anchor receipt (see below). Simply drag and drop the file to the verification area (you can also click on the area to choose the file).

The file anchoring items appear:

• The hash of the timestamped file
• The date of the Bitcoin transaction and its number of confirmations
• Anchor receipt with detailed view and download link

If the file would have been timestamped by another Woleet user in private mode, or would have been timestamped via another timestamp platform, you must also provide the Chainpoint Anchor Receipt.

To do this, drag and drop the receipt into the designated fields (you can also click on the fields to select the file and the receipt).
