eIDAS conformity, for advanced electronic signatures and seals

Woleet last changes contribute essentially to eIDAS conformity, so as to provide you with advanced electronic signatures and seals.

The revocation function is now available in Woleet.ID Server. Revocation is essential to declare that a key can not be trusted any more to represent an identity. The revocation status is immediately published on the identity URL so as to invalidate the electronic signatures or seals that would have been made after revocation.

In eIDAS, e-signatures and e-seals address different issues. E-signatures engage the individual responsibility of the signatory, while e-seals are designed to give technical guarantees about the integrity and origin of the sealed data. Woleet.ID Server now distinguishes e-signatures from e-seals. See documentation here.

As an enterprise product, Woleet.ID Server now supports different user profiles. A new « manager » role has been created to allow business teams to manage identities and keys, without having access to technical administration functions.

Improving signature experience in ProofDesk

ProofDesk has been improved to make electronic signature even more easier.

For the ones who are familiar with ProofDesk interface, you will see a few changes on the signature request form:

  • Mandatory fields are now clearly identified.
  • The identity field prevents you from selecting twice the same user, and from selecting revoked or expired keys.

You will also get more email notifications to improve the signature process follow-up.
